This July we returned to the Serious Play Conference, held in the beautiful city of Montreal. Last
year, we focused on exploring the work of our North American contemporaries, taking inspiration
from the presentations from a wide variety of speakers, gaining an in depth understanding of their
approaches to game based learning within the Health, Education and Research sectors.
This year, we decided to put our Neuro Champions work in the spotlight and present our journey of
developing a game based preventative mental health intervention.
The presentation gave us the opportunity to take a step back from the Neuro Champions
work, now in its 2nd year, and take an objective look at the journey from inception to
development and looking to the future, the progression of our work. Meeting fellow
conference attendees and presenters has helped us to see the possibilities for international
partnerships and collaborations for the Neuro Champions project. Something we are excited
to explore over the coming months.
